The Dell XPS 800 with RipoffDRAM is going back.

Here is a brief history of this piece of shit.

While I was placing the order, I was wondering about the P4 and when it would be released, the sales person said late 2001. I figured, yep okay, you just want to make sure I buy this system today.

When I got the box, I decided to format the hard drive and install only the software I needed, as it was running pretty slow. I called tech support a number of times, some times for the same question, as on-line help would not answer my question, and tech support gave me different answers every time. Not one could answer my questions, not one knew what components were in the system, but told me to use the on-line help. Dell's on-line help SUCKS ROCKS. It doesn't have updated info.

One tech told me to go to Intel's site for updated chipset drivers, but Intel says DON'T do that, use the software supplied by the manufacture.

I have always owned Dell's, but the f@@ken service has gone down hill. No one knows what they are talking about there, name of the game is sell computers.

My next computer will be a clone box.
