How does option expiration drive the price of the stock? Looking at the CBOT options quotes, the open interest on May 50 calls seems to be higher than May 45 calls and May 45 puts have highest open interest. Would it not make sense to drive it to 50 at expiration than 45 because that would make all the 50 calls expire worthless (the 45 calls would make some money though) or am I looking at it incorrectly? Thanks for any comments?
