Hi Morag,

Heres a report put out by Augen Capital where they have selected MLSM and Org as top picks and undervalued stocks.

Not sure if Orogrande or Millstream will have the surprise property announcement mentioned below.

Toronto, ONT, July 20, 2000 /SHfn/ -- Three junior mining explorers, one senior resource company and a small cap broadband firm are the top picks of Augen Capital's [V.AUG] CEO J. David Mason.

As a merchant bank, Augen's main focus is to identify promising investment opportunities among emerging resource and technology companies. Augen not only invests its own money in these companies, but also draws on a syndicate of individual investors, and their brokers, to arrange private-placement early-stage financing for them.

Mason is a mining engineer with over 20 years of experience as a brokerage analyst and fund-raiser for the junior mining sector. His experience is invaluable in helping him choose the emerging resource firms with the best potential. Augen, which was formed six years ago, also recently added some technology expertise.

Some of Mason's top stock picks, especially the junior explorers, are thinly traded with low liquidity and may not be appropriate for active traders. Augen focuses on the early financing rounds, which means the wait for results could be quite long. What may be some comfort for the investors that go along, however, is that Augen and its syndicate usually has some money tied up in the ventures.

In the junior resource sector, Mason focuses on companies not yet recognized by the market. As a result, these firms generally have a market capitalization less than $5 million. The goal, Mason explains, is to invest in stocks that will capture a wider market interest after the investor has established a position.

He advises investors speculating in resource stocks to buy before the drill goes on the property and to take profits as the results are being released.

Orogrande Resources' [V.ORG] focus is an option with Millstream Minerals [O.MSLM] to explore the Potter Doal property east of Timmins, Ontario. The property is two claims north of Millstream's Potter property where a massive sulfide deposit is currently being developed. Mason says preparations are being made to start drilling during the next few weeks and advises investors to keep their eyes open for a surprise property to be announced shortly.
