Whether its DT, NTT, ATT, XYZTT, it doesn't matter. Q keeps getting more and more expensive for any other service provider to own every day that they remain independent. And I personally do not believe Joe would sell out before he thinks he can absolutely maximize shareholder value (and Phil Anschutz's value, remember he owns 39%!). As Joe said on the conference call after the earnings about wireless service, "no wine before it's time." I believe that it's far too early for the guys in Denver to be learning German (or any other language) just yet! As for the short interest, I don't read too much into that due to the closing of the merger on 6/30, and the unwinding of all the arb positions.
