Sorry to disagree, John. There are 2.54 cm/inch and 25.4 cm/10 inches. 15 cm is 6 inches(roughly).
I think what had investors confused was 25.4 millimeters to the inch. They may have thought there was only one inch of core length, when there really are ten inches.
We're all used to seeing depth and width figures in feet, so it probably shocked a lot of people when they read the report.
