Wonder and Creativity....

>>It's too bad it's left you. I have had it every day of my life, perhaps that is one of the reasons I am physically aging so slowly. The wonder and imagination and creativity you speak of should be retained by every human.

I think a lot of men lose it when they fall into the football/basketball/beer syndrome. Hahaha...>>

Agree.

The football/basketball/beer syndrome is perfect for the way it lines people up on the sidelines of life - with plays/acts and people to point the finger at and assign blame, etc.

This is an example of a classic "energy taking" paradigm. I played sports all my life and even walked on, then off (and then tried to walk back on) a Big Ten football team as a quarterback coming from a small high school out west. As a team player I knew the incredible difference it makes between being a "team player" and being a selfish "know it all" star athelete. I always played with a reckless enthusiasm which came from the sheer love and joy of wanting to play. I could never understand what people were thinking of me for I was simply playing for the team. The energy a team can create can blow you away. It's all very personal and psychological and very hard to define.

I've never been one to enjoy passively viewing sports. We were in the fourth row being home plate looking out toward the third baseline against the Brewers at Wrigley this past Saturday. I didn't have a clue other than Sosa, Grace and a few others as to "who's on first, etc."

So at least there's common ground T.

Peace.

GO!!
