I was in a CompUSA in CT over the weekend looking to pickup some contact manager software. I noticed the PC and MAC areas were absolutely dead. It was kind of frightening because a couple of years ago the place would have been jammin. I looked around to see what people were looking at and to my suprise there were mostly young people playing games. So, I believe that computer stores will be a thing of the past and retail outlets such as Circuit City or Best Buy, that combine computer appliances with entertainment to be the trend moving forward. IMO, the PC/Internet Appliance is turning into a entertainment product. Streaming video with companies such as Liberate and Apple might be the big winners in the future. The PC era might collapse when Apple introduces its OS X operating system. Basically, the consumer, would be able to use the machine as an internet appliance and Apple would act as a consumer ASP. You will be able to rent all the storage or applications you wish to including games. Thats where Disney enter the picture. All, IMO, Bob.
