Choosing between ORCL and MSFT value chains may be a bit like trying to choose between sleeping with a tiger or a lion. Either way you probably won't get a good night's sleep. All in all I would chose Bill over Larry.
I'm in the process of reading "Living on the Fault Line" and it really stresses value chains. I find that I'm using my highlighter pen on almost the whole text.
