Just to get this off my chest... Although Vans is so undervalued relative to its consistent performance and growth that it makes some Dow stocks seem like crazy momentum plays, its stock has once again not followed through with a sustained rally. It looked like one was beginning after the great May 7th WSJ article, but Vans still didn't get past the $12 range. Comparing Vans' fundamentals to the much more richly valued PSUN shows that a return to last year's high of over $20/share would be totally reasonable. Investors need to understand that Vans is not "the sector" or a direct competitor to a monolith like Nike, but a strong, individualistic company with brand recognition and a growing following and customer base.
