HDI update/background.

The company is presenting data and/or displaying its PulseWave CR-2000at the following meetings this summer:

July, 2000 15-18, International Society on Hypertension in Blacks (ISHIB) - Puerto Rico

August, 2000 20-24, International Society of Hypertension (ISH) - Chicago, Illinois - Booth: 722/724

August, 2000 26-30, European Society of Cardiology (ESC) - Amsterdam

----------------

The CR-2000 is a non-invasive cardiovascular profiling instrument which can measure correlates for the following:

Blood Pressure Waveform
Systolic Blood Pressure
Diastolic Blood Pressure
Mean Arterial Blood Pressure
Pulse Pressure
Pulse Rate
Estimated Cardiac Ejection Time
Estimated Stroke Volume
Estimated Stroke Volume Index
Estimated Cardiac Output
Estimated Cardiac Index
Large Artery Elasticity Index (Capacitive Arterial Compliance)
Small Artery Elasticity Index (Oscillatory/Reflective Arterial Compliance)
Systemic Vascular Resistance
Total Vascular Impedance

Analysis of these data can produce a reliable and non-invasive approach to identifying coronary heart disease. The machine is used for research purposes in the US (awaiting FDA review for approved clinical use) and is approved for marketing in Europe.

(still trying to figure out approximate timetable for response from the FDA)
