The fiberoptic arena is in a tornado of immense proportions. To tell you the truth DS I backed into my NT shares through their purchase of CLFY. I decided to keep my NT shares and not sell because of what I perceived to be NT's coming dominance of the telco/fiber optic arena. CSCO's decision to step into the fiber optic market tentively (plus a slowing of their older more mature markets) coupled with NT's upside growth potential, strength and experience in this area was the deciding factor for me a year or so ago to stick with NT and not go the CSCO route. NT is now the king of the telco/fiber optic market space - and doing quite well in their other markets too I might add. I still view NTAP and SEBL to be my two top stocks. And I DO love my CREE. I've sold almost everything right now except for a few and am waiting to buy back in again in a few weeks.
