Sure, some herbal products actually work. Usually, they derive from plants that have been in use for centuries to treat specific illnesses. Given GUMM's reputation for doing unpublishable "scientific" research backed by laughable clinical trials, they probably just crushed a few tea leaves in some saline solution and called it a day.
