Alcatel is major supplier of xDSL to BT, where Newbridge dominates ATM platform with possible tandem class 4 switch substitution( using SS7 on ATM platform). Looks like Marconi got optical deal, what means that they will be dominant supplier for BT in this space. Both Marconi and BT are UK based companies so this does not surprise me at all. Zbyslaw
