i gotta tell ya, LG...
as an impartial observer (albeit one who has basically been forced to read all about this spat due to its airing on the 'welcome' thread), imo you bring an awful lot of this treatment on yourself.
it doesn't take any sort of college degree (though the possession of one has, in certain cases, been known to preclude the bearer from discerning this fact) to know that the more you make folks aware that they bother you, the more they are going to enjoy the whole process. and you, LG, are screaming OUCH every time they poke you with a sharp stick. what fun!
and the way i see it, it really doesn't make much sense to proclaim a group of individuals to be without merit, then spend time monitoring their behavior.
most people have common sense and the will and desire to make up their own minds about things. in fact, it's human nature to resist someone who is trying to force his or her views on you. with that thought in mind, i would say that you really have no need to 'set things straight' and run around defending yourself from this perceived menace.
once you let it go (quit screaming OUCH), i see no reason for them to keep poking at you. and if they do, so what.
remember, LG, it ain't what people call you in life, it's what you answer to.
