Clappy, be careful with this article. The writer starts with.... ...If I buy the 02-30s at $54 ¼, then exercise the option, my basis in the stock would be $84 ¼, the $54 ¼ cost of the LEAPS option plus the $30 price I pay to exercise..... He says the stock is selling at 79.25 and he wants to exercise (means to take ownership) at 84.25. Something's not right when someone suggests buying at more than it's worth. I couldn't read the rest. There are a million people with a million get rich schemes with options. Be careful. Read some good books and ask a lot of questions. James Bittman and Michael Thomsett (in addition to McMillan) are good authors. This thread has some good contributors as well. Good luck. Tom
