I was also fearful of MSFT SQL taking market away from ORCL RDBMS, and I never believed ORCL would get its solution software business right. I also thought the thin client or network computer ideas were pretty lame and would distract ORCL from its core competencies.

I don't regret not holding ORCL, though. I still have my doubts about their staying power.
