| That is a perfectly reasonable scenario, and, in fact, the one I most fear, as being the most likely alternative to perfection. I am hopeful, though, that the South and West will be almost monolithically Republican, except for California, and that the Midwest will tilt more Republican than it has in the past, and that Republicans will hold their own in the East. This is based on the relative strength of support for Dubya in the different regions, and the idea that any place he has very strong support, he has coattails. Admittedly, it may be a reach. However, with even women tilting Republican, and men reliably Republican, it is arguable........ |
