Some observations....

I see one of us has gone off the deep end. Let's hope he's called the bottom. I guess I just don't see any problems with AMD and see no way Intel can fight back with a price war. Intel has to have the shareholders interest at heart. When you consider that Q2 YoY profits in the core business was + $88 million at Intel and + $400 million for AMD, what can Intel do? Honestly? ANY price war will leave the core business DOWN YoY. Can they fall back on the mutual fund? Hell no, only $.67 per share of unrealized gains. With Intel stock trading at a historically high value, they can't afford to miss, or even guide down. It ain't gonna happen.

I'm sitting on 37 Jan AMD contracts and the rest is all cash. After today, I probably have more cash than money in. Thursday was a deal, Friday was a steal, today was.... Oh well, it's good that I just don't feel like buying.

Somehow, I ended up in Silicon Valley. You guys might not see much of me except a late night rant here and there, but I'm still here, lurking.
