JH: What do you think now about the .13u Piii rumors? I think this is the one that showed up as Coppermine-T on the roadmaps (that you dismissed at the time). It seems that more stories are coming out now with this theme

EP: What I will say is that if Intel doesn't do a .13u version of CuMine it will be the first time they have not taken their high volume flagship to the next process.

JH: Should I understand it that previously, you expected that Coppermine would no longer be the high volume flagship at the time .13u copper process arrives, but now you do?

Does it mean that Willy will be late, or .13u Cu process will be early?

EP: I don't think Willy will be late nor will .13u be especially early, but I also don't expect it to be the volume leader for some time, based on how Intel has operated in the past.

Ok, I don't know what logical conclusion to draw from this. The only thing I can come up with is that Coppermine will be continue to be the volume leader and flagship product on .13u (I guess sometime in 2001), and reconciling it with your argument that the roadmap in question was a nonsense, I guess their timing of the introduction of this chip (Coppermine .13u) might have been off by a few quarters to a year. Their start of production was in late Q4 2000 if I remember it correctly.
