Lindy, I recently bought EMC on it's cup and handle breakout at 72 3/4 a month ago. My timing on NTAP wasn't so good. I bought it a several months ago, so I'm just at the breakeven point. I have done well selling OTM puts on it and letting 'em expire.

The other players in this market are PRCM, XLA, and STOR. (That I know of.) I think DELL wants to be, too, but they wouldn't be a 'pure play'.

STOR (StorageNetworks)is a new IPO, and they've been hot. Gilder gave them a strong recommendation in his newsletter.

PRCM (Procom)has more of a history, and provides cd-rom storage, tape backups, and is getting into the network attached storage business.

Then there's XLA. (Excelera)You remember them. The Burmuda based hotelier gone hot internet storage company. They bought the 'Mirror Image' technology where redundant databases of internet data can be stored 'closer' to the ultimate user. The stock has declined from over 100 to 24 in 3 months, and there's no sight of a bottom yet. It is a Gilder favorite, though.

I'm in NTAP and EMC, so far. Considering PRCM and STOR.

Best,
AdairM
