All I really see here is a mis-filing problem. Options are subject to enormous abuse, but assigning the blame to the wrong place usually results in mis-directed remedies.

If a cloth bag of marbles is sitting on the table, and we ask a major accounting firm to count the contents, the result of X marbles should not depend on whether the bag is owned by me alone, by both of us together, or by the IRS. -g-
