Mail2000 provides its clients, through a nationwide network of strategically located production sites, expedited delivery of First Class mail for up to a 25% reduction in mailing costs. Mail2000 uses the latest communications and computer technology to distribute a company's data stream to regional production sites where the data is produced as hard copy mail and delivered to the recipient by an U.S. Postal Service letter carrier.
"We continually look for opportunities to expand service options for our customers and it was apparent that our customers needed an electronic document delivery option," said Paul Carlin, former Postmaster General and Chairman of Mail2000. "docHarbor is the most advanced and cost-effective way to deploy a document e-archive and e-presentment solution that meets our stringent security, compliance, and high-volume requirements. We are able to leverage docHarbor's state-of-the-art infrastructure, expertise, and advanced technology to save us significant dollars, decrease the time-to-market, and enhance our operational efficiencies."
docHarbor's Web-based storage and delivery service stores documents in a large, highly-scaleable electronic repository and delivers them reliably and securely to Mail2000's customers through standard web browsers. docHarbor's solution is compatible with Mail2000's existing systems and infrastructure, creating a seamless link between physical and electronic document distribution. docHarbor and Mail2000 expect that this e-archive and e-presentment service will store and deliver up to 28 million documents a month.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Mail2000," said Don Cooper, senior vice president of docHarbor. "As a strategic aggregator for docHarbor's electronic delivery services, Mail2000 has numerous customers with a host of high-volume applications that fit well with our suite of ASP offerings. With the addition of electronic bill presentment and payment, we have created a true end-to-end solution for Mail2000 and its customers."
"We believe this solution is unique in our market and creates a strategic advantage by offering a mix of print and electronic document delivery options for Mail2000 customers," Carlin said. "Our customers now have a single source vendor for paper, mail, and electronic document storage and presentment. As a result, our customers benefit from reduced set-up costs, immediate access to documents online, and increased flexibility to respond to a changing marketplace."
