OT, ahhaha:
Your ramblings about theories and your status as self-appointed BB guru are, to me, not impressive. It's pretty apparent that you are in academia or some other setting where theory rules and reality doesn't matter. Unfortunately, ATHM exists in the real world and to succeed it will need to make real world decisions and take real world actions.
I could debate you on each issue that I posted on, but it's clear that you can't or won't substantiate many of your ideas other than saying "I'm and expert, you're a novice." The fact remains that this novice (in your eyes) didn't ride this stock down from the mid 30s (and higher) to 16 (very near its 52 week low) on the advice of the "expert." If I were the expert that failed, I'd have my ears wide open to new voices, just in case something could be learned. You choose otherwise and, obviously, that's your call.
As far as going back and forth with a tit for tat, it isn't worth my time, particularly when you post moronic things such as:
<I very much disagree with you on many points and think you've taken certain of my statements out of context to try to prove your point.
It always amazes me that someone would assert someone is guilty of what they are guilty. This always indicates stupidity. >
First, my sentence immediately after the one you snipped stated that I may have not been clear and would therefore elaborate. You chose not to include that sentence, instead trying to make me look like an accusatory person. As far as me accusing you of something (i.e., taking things out of context) that I did, I deny that. I said you may have taken certain items of my post out of context because you snip only what serves your purpose out of a post. I, on the other hand, copied your ENTIRE post. How does that make me guilty (and therefore stupid) of doing what I accused you of? Conversely, I think that, by snipping even shorter parts of my second post, you reiterated your "guilt" and, by your logic, proved your stupidity. It's a minor point but illustrates your immaturity.
One other item worth mentioning is why I use the phrase "imo"; it's pretty self-evident that I use it for items that I am not sure of, e.g., the result of ATHM moving towards self installs. You, otoh, post in the declarative implying that what you say is factual. Your history of factual predictions indicates that many of your posts are, actually, opinion and not fact.
I'm happy to discuss and debate whatever business issues regarding ATHM you'd like to discuss. I would enjoy learning and being proven wrong. But I ask that you keep the personal insults to a minimum. It's a sure sign of someone losing a debate when they get personal. If you can't hack it, just be a man and 'fess up that you were wrong.
Perhaps this should have been a PM, so I apologize to others. |
