Michael, the 1,600 per-day cable install does not imply an upper limit to ATHM new subscriber growth. There are still a lot of folks who already have the cable laid but who have not signed up for the service (or as Grace says, do not yet sit on activated nodes). 57% of TCI's 15 million customers have the second cable trunk down, and I believe 80% of MediaOne's 5 million customers do (although they can choose RoadRunner). ATT's current cable install rate will never be a problem until ATHM has penetrated the existing "footprint". Besides, by the time ATHM gets all those customers, ATT install rate will be a moot issue because ATHM would have the critical mass necessary for huge positive cash flow.

Regarding reaching new subscriber targets. I doubt very much that ATHM can reach the 3 million mark. 2.5 million is easily doable at current sign-up rates. If the self install movement gets going, I see 2.8 million by year end.
