Paul,

If the SPX is unable to break above the trendline, I woudl consider that being quite bearish, but if it does break above it I really woundnt immediately consider it BULLISH either, just a bit bullish.

I focus more on HIGHER HIGHS/LOWS - LOWER LOWS/HIGHS, thats not to say I disgard it, no-way. A slight break of that trendline would not produce a HIGHER HIGH.
