I thought my Life as A dog was too sad- it was good, but it would never be a favorite of mine. My favorites are Babette's Feast, Persuasion, Valentine's Day, Courtship, The Seventh Seal, the Brannagh Shakespeare films, Twelfth Night, the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice with David Rintoul, The Best Man, Ridicule, and a fluffy little movie called American Dreamer, Animal House, Groundhog Day and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.. These are, out of all the films I own and rent, the ones I watch over and over.
The film I watch most is Persuasion- because for me it is as simply exquisite as the novel. It is a perfect jewel of a movie. |
