What you read is probably correct about needing to use cows. I was speaking in general terms regarding transgenics research. It only makes sense to go to cows ultimately for production, as they produce such vast amounts of milk relative to any other animal (except maybe whales, but they're hard to farm).
I also find mice hard to milk. Can't seem to get my lips around their nipples quite right. When I start to suck, the whole damn mouse pops in my mouth and I gag on them. You're right, they don't taste very good, but they slide right on down kicking, biting and clawing. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick with bigger mammaries.
Hey, getting serious now! Has anyone else found that the web is running about 10 times slower this week, especially during the day? Seems like I'm getting grey waiting for Yahoo to load portfolios or news, and SI at times just has been coming to a crawl. It wasn't bad in the middle of the night last night though. Part of the reason I'm asking is that I'm having a machine problem again where the RAM and CPU have been taken over by something that just keeps the CPU running 100% continuously, and is using about 10Megs of RAM in the process (without anything but the desktop up and Norton System Doctor open, I usually use about 43% of my 64M RAM, but this problem causes me to use about 58% of RAM which is definitely excessive). It happened after I had a lockup while I was trying to Shutdown last night, and took me forever to get the system stabilized this morning. Thus, I'm wondering if the apparent web slowness is due to my machine being buggy or if the web has been extra slow? Maybe some kids have finished school already and are now surfing during the day. I would predict that the web gets a lot worse once all of the kids are out of school for the summer. Anyway, just checking with you all on the state of the web???
