lml- Right. I was referring to SDTV(standard definition TV) being a baby step in quality. Whereas HDTV is a HUGE step up. SDTV has major positive implications for the MSO(swap 5 digital channels for every one analog), but the quality is only slightly better for the consumer.

Ironically, even though it's only slightly better, I have to say (this coming from a person with a TV smaller than their computer monitor), it's noticeably better to me. And I don't even care much for TV. And the sound quality, well it's much better.

And best of all, is the digital music stations, commercial free. That's rarely pushed, but IMHO, that's what MSOs should think about focusing on in their digital TV ads. Broadcast radio, nowadays, is simply terrible. About 50% commercials and another 20% talking. So that leaves about 30% for playing music. Not good and I'm glad they have a terrestrial competitor now with 100% music and about triple the channels. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS Can you go into a further critique of TiVo? ie, how does it work? How much are the costs? Does it have an onscreen guide? Do you think it will catch on? etc.. I'm very much interested in hearing more of your personal experience and opinion with it.
