Jack: To answer that Q, it is necessary to identify the task. The task you have in mind and the one they have in mind are different and herin lies the dichotomy. You want annualized share holder value or return on equity; they want sales/share to grow by +20%.

It is feasible to acquire software garbage, clean , massage repackage and then sell it for a profit. But in the intervening time till you sell, your garbage is depreciating w/o any Income, your capital investment is showing no return. You have only 2 solutions. Either speed up your operations so that your holding time is drastically reduced or else ensure your garbage is profitable during the holding period.

Now that their P/S is lower than the P/S they paid for any acquisition, it would be appropriate to reduce the Number of shares thru a bank financed repurchase scheme. It seems that the current CEO has no clear picture of how the Company is going to handle the current situation.
