Ok, you got me there. I guess I was waiting for the peanut gallery to post the press release the instant it was released, like they always do or at least a jump in stock price to indicate something positive had happened. As it stands, the price is still in a slump and the news was met with virtual silence. Why is that Dan? Could it be that nobody cares because they know that GUMM will still continue to LOSE money? 10 million dollars is chump change in today's drug market. It wouldn't even cover the cost of a half ass advertising campaign like the one they launched for Zicam, let alone manufacturing costs. They have no chance against the bigger and more established competition. They have NOTHING novel. They never have. That's why the only thing they can come out with is copy cat products. They copied Quigley and got sued. I'll be surprised if they don't run into the same sort of legal trouble with nic gum. Zicam Allergy is a lame copy cat product that is intended to mimic other remedies already out there. Period. They have nothing NEW you friggin moron. Novelty wins the game these days.

One more thing. Nicotine isn't zinc. It's a toxin. GUMM may be able to escape FDA scrutiny producing zinc spray but nic gum is a whole different ball game. They'll have to undergo intense FDA inspections before the FDA will allow them to produce even one stick of that stuff. Simply saying "we have an agreement" is still a long way from actually producing and selling the stuff. First quarter 2001, right? We'll see.
