** All ** As I have maintained for some time now, there are sites and services that have developed a marketing strategy which is aimed. in large measure, in criticizing Brinker as a means of marketing businesses. Who really knows if they are sincere of their disagreements with Brinker? Many of those folks would have you believe, for example, that they were tossed off bobbrinker.com because they disagreed with Brinker and in violation of their free speech rights. Nope. They were tossed because they were trying to drum up business by using Brinker's site as a marketing location for their own financial gain.
Now I have every indication that there are some new posters who will try to make SI into bobbrinker.com Part II and seek to market their products and services off of me and/or this thread. Funny, how we have had the Korn spam appear here the past few days. And yesterday someone seems to have filed a complaint with SI Administration over some Kornhead issue.
SI Administration has asked me several questions about Kornhead, in particular, and Brinker the past few days which lead me to conclude that a complaint has been filed. While SI will not disclose the nature of the complaint, I have a good guess. Here is a post from the Savant thread which leads me to guess what is going on:

I thought of writing SI, but didn't want to get anyone in trouble. There is an appearance that the moderated site
promotes a competing product to SI (bobbrinker.com investment website) as well as for profit enterprises (BJ
Group and Marketimer). Both are against SI policy. I have no problem with it as like minds should be allowed to
freely associate.
I DO have a problem when the privilege is abused.
I think attacking David Korn and his competing product from a moderated site that, in effect, promotes the
competing product, is wrong. I am NOT commenting on moral issues about if David is right to go against Brinker's
wishes. This issue is similar to arguing if you should own MO for its dividend and then give the dividend to the
American Lung Association. (The Lung Assoc says it wants no money this way). The legal answer is clear (David
is in the right) but the "moral answer" is different for everyone.

Moral issues are different for everyone? What a beautiful thought that would serve anarchy well. A competing product? Now that is too funny when all one is doing is riding the Brinker gravy train. Gee, I wonder who complained. Will they come clean over there? Go ahead and ask them and see what they say. In any event, the complaint was denied.
So I am left to conclude one of two things: (1) Canned Korn and/or his followers wish to have some posts purged here in the past or going forward, or (2) they wish to have an ability to market their products or services off of this site or another thread to give equal time.
Well, I have better things to do with my time than to defend this site every day to SI Administration and fight these guys tooth and nail and then be libeled or threatened via PM so they can sell their wares. These guys are desperate, it seems, and are looking for any way they can sell their services or sites. The economy is booming and these guys are having business problems?
Quite frankly, I think the summary service is losing customers (wonder why this is so) and that is why you are seeing the apparent appearance of davidk555 on the Savant thread. I have a good guess as to who this might be and why he is here. Gee, he has the same alias as my e-mail prefix in my Kornhead summary. Could it be a new marketing effort in part in an effort to fill in slots in a rapidly dwindling subscription base? Yep, I think so. Do current subscriptions expire in August? I think so. Time to drum up business. And so you will see, at the very least, a subtle marketing effort directed toward selling the wares off of Brinker in the name of education and freedom of speech and other beautiful concepts. Oh, my, I think it already has started over there. What a joke.
When will these guys have to market themselves based on their own merits outside of Brinker? Time will tell all but when they do have to face reality they will find they have nothing much to offer.
The authorized summaries improve weekly and will continue to improve far beyond what is imaginable by anyone. A certain can of corn will continue to rust away despite his marketing efforts.
But I will not lend my presence to their campaign. They obviously have me as a target with the Kornhead spam, the apparent appearance of the Kornman himself and the silly complaint.
Effective immediately, I will no longer post on SI until such time as these guys are sufficiently contained or self destruct. You guys can keep the effort going if you so choose. You have all done much already that you don't know about. But keep the effort going and add some of rust to the canned corn along the way if you choose.
There are many here who have ben patient with all that has been going on and so I will continue to moderate this thread if you choose to stay. There may be gaps in my efforts due to vacation time or otherwise but I will continue to read my private mailbox. I know you guys well enough that you will let me know who is acting against the charter of this thread. Alternatively, if there is someone who wants to take on the job of a moderated thread to replace this one in spirit, then please PM me. Maybe Lars will come back. In any event, my PM box is open here.
I am sorry to those who think I am abandoning ship. Let me apologize to you if you think that way. But I am not. I might be reducing my time in front of the computer. But not to worry.
