Thread, I simply don't believe that AMD is sitting on piles of unsold Tbirds.

I just picked up an 850 (copper, Paul) Tbird from Fry's (in the shadow of AMD headquarters no less). All higher grades were sold out at all local Fry's. I also picked up an Asus A7V (with the nifty multiplier dipswitches) from Bay Area Micro.

The motherboard place (chop shop-ish) had Tbirds up to 750 only. I asked the guy if he'd be getting higher speed grades.

His answer: "Yes...but not real soon... they are sold out... very hard to get."

Let AMD sell the Tbirds to these little shops at higher ASPs if necessary-- but it appears that isn't happening in great volumes... Also, based on my mobo experience (part of the second run from Asus), I believe the KT133 situation is rapidly improving.

I am not worried.
