A Talk with Wendy!

I called RP a few moments ago and learned he is out of the office....so I spoke briefly with Wendy.

Asked her about what was going on at the Plug-In conference and she said that we had sales, marketing, and engineering people there who were conducting off-the-floor meetings with reps from various companies.

She said the whole environment there was very encouraging...with the whole music label/content/MP3/Napster, etc. issues taking center stage and presenting many new opportunities.

She said that Edig realized that their position of providing engineering solutions to OEMs was frustrating to the shareholders because of the very limited information available to the public to date.

She commented that the ''Merit'' player, which would be out shortly on the European market, was currently being sought be another OEM which wanted to use the design for the Asian market. In addition, a different OEM was looking into having exclusive worldwide distribution rights to another version of the ''Merit'' design.

She said that one of the interesting pleasant flags that has gone up at Edig is that the recent inquiries from new OEMs have been a result of Edig's reputation within the OEM community!

She confirmed that the Quarterly Repor was not expected until Aug. 7-15 (Aug. 15th is actually a deadline imposed on all companies by the SEC and added that these reports must now be fully audited.) She said that she did not know the contents of the report as of yet but that she expected it to contain Lanier revenues, initial Maycom licensing fees ( all licensing fees are required up front), and possibly some other fees.

Concerning revenues for the rest of the year, she anticipated a very good second half with the initial monies coming from Maycom royalties with more to follow as other OEMs bring products to market. She said that they were in daily ongoing negotiations with OEMs and Edig, of course, hoped they would all result in contracts and future revenues.

Her final general comment was to say that everyone at Edig was extremely pleased with the company's strides in securing its long term viability and position in the emerging marketplace.
