7/25...AWE... Q2 revs grow 32 percent --10:06 am - By Michael Baron Tracking stock AT&T Wireless (AWE: news, msgs) is advancing 2 1/4, or 8.3 percent, to 29 5/16. AT&T (T: news, msgs) said second-quarter revenue at its wireless operations rose 32 percent to $2.48 billion from the year-ago period. The division added 532,000 subscribers in the latest three months, a 27.1 percent increase over the first quarter's additions. AT&T spun off a 15.6 stake in AT&T Wireless on April 27. In addition, AT&T Wireless acquired the Indianapolis, Ind., wireless system of SBC Communications (SBC: news, msgs) for $530 million.
