Hi all, Unfortunately, I think Cisco got into Optical a year too late. Usually, Cisco gets into things as a fast follower. But this time they are a slow follower. It's going to cost them, meaning that it will take a lot more time to gain market share on NT. The other thing that worries me is that all optical networks are a phase shift. Cisco's core competencies may be marginalized by these new technologies. As a long term Cisco bull, with Cisco still being my greatest holding even after the spectacular rise my NT shares have experienced in the last few months, I am very worried. Do any of you besides Telecomguy think my worries are justified? Or am I just paranoid? Comments welcome.
