wist: I see. So what could happen...

RE: JDSU, is that the selling would be spread over not just JDSU ... are you saying making a DIRECT CORRELATION between RAD leaving S&P and JDSU arriving, is not the way to look at this?

Will NOT be a direct "apples-to-apples" sort of "swap."

Is that what you're saying?

My impression of Pisani's report was that, if accurate <g>, JDSU is gonna gap down big, leaving large numbers of new shareholders "holding the bag" at market close tomorrow.

If this is the case, JDSU looks like a great one-day short to me.

I don't own JDSU; wish I had a long time ago <g> but I don't. I bailed out on some LEAPs I just bot a week or so ago because of the stunning SDLI purchase ... that's another thing that scares the bejesus out of me about JDSU ... not only this pop joining the S&P.

Many here, I think, ARE JDSU longs, and possibly would be interested in this discussion.

So if I do anything, will be a short (down-type short) daytrade. I do NOT wish "evil things" to happen to JDSU, believe me. For the longs here.

Just looking to make a quick buck if possible. <g>

Is the idea that the value of JDSU stock tomorrow can plummet (temporarily or longer) because of the two factors of bubble/joins S&P AND the SDLI "snake swallowing a huge rat digestion" via expensive acquisition, foolish?

TIA again,

bia
