Richard- BWAC is right in that markets move so fast, it's almost impossible to see exactly what the bid and ask currently sit at, especially when you have to wade through screens of information. Just an observation, but I've found Datek's streamer to display quotes about 10 seconds behind E*Trades "Pulse" Level 2, which may explain the difference in prices (?). Stock quotes are not guaranteed, so make sure you put that limit order in...
