LSI Logic (LSI) 41 3/4 -5: -- Update -- LSI shares are down 7 13/16 after hours. Although the company beat EPS estimates, word is the revenue line was light.

Egghead.com (EGGS) 2 29/32 unch: Reports Q2 loss of $0.44 a share, $0.06 better than the First Call consensus of ($0.50); revenues rose 3.3% to $126.00 mln from a year-ago of $122.00 mln; see press release.

Electronic Arts (ERTS) 76 13/16 -3 31/32: Reports Q1 loss of $0.60 a share, $0.07 better than the First Call consensus of ($0.67), vs year-ago earnings of $0.04. Revenues of $154.8 million compared to $186.1 million reported for the same quarter of the prior fiscal year; see press release.

Nortel Networks (NT) 82 1/2 +1/2: -- Update -- In addition to beating EPS estimates, company noted that optical Internet sales soared 150% year/year and local Internet solutions were up 80%; the book-to-bill for the quarter was a robust 1.35. As a result, company upping future guidance on revenues and EPS; revs go to low 40% area from 30-35% in 2000 and will be 30-35% in 2001, EPS goes to high 30% area in 2000 and 30-35% in 2001.
