Meanwhile, back on this planet, it seems like the companies that aren't getting taken down even after positive earnings are the exception rather than the rule. I'm not completely sure what this says about the market in general, but I doubt it's good. On another tack, if the oils can't prosper under a hypothetical Bush-Cheney administration, I don't know when they can.
