Disaster was predicted back then and it didnt happen.. and I strongly believe AMD is ahead of where they were when Athlon original was first released. >> AMD had quantities in the 100 thousands back than. They will have to sell around 1.8M duron's this quarter to make the stated sales goal. There's a big big difference there. I think they'll have a REAL hard time making those numbers in the DIY market.
