NEOPOINT'S SMART, MULTI-PURPOSE SOFTSYNC™ STATION AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE ON-LINE AT NEOPOINT.COM

Smart Accessory Lets Users Sync PIM Data Between Their NeoPoint Smartphone And PC While Simultaneously Charging Phone Or Spare Battery

LA JOLLA, Calif., April 24, 2000 - NeoPoint, Inc., creator of the award-winning NeoPoint™ 1000 smartphone, today announced that its multi-purpose SoftSync™ Station accessory is now available for purchase on-line through the company's Web site at www.neopoint.com. The smart docking station syncs Personal Information Management (PIM) data, such as Contacts, Schedule and To Do items, between the NeoPoint smartphone and a PC while simultaneously charging the smartphone or a spare battery.

"Increasing our customers productivity was our main focus when designing the smart and efficient SoftSync Station," said William Son, chairman, CEO and president of NeoPoint. "This unique accessory is a perfect complement to our award-winning NeoPoint 1000 - 'the smartphone done right.' By simply dropping their smartphone into the docking station, users can not only charge a spare battery, but also automatically sync PIM data, including their Contact and Schedule information, with their PC."

NeoPoint 1000 users can set their smartphone to "auto" sync by accessing its "Preferences" application and selecting "General." Once set, no additional button-pushing is necessary on the smartphone or PC. Users simply plug one end of their SoftSync™ Cable into the back of the docking station and the other end into their PC's serial port. The SoftSync Station also charges a spare battery at the same time when a slim or extended NeoPoint battery is dropped into the dual docking station.

NeoPoint's full line of accessories, including the SoftSync Station and slim and extended batteries, are available for purchase on-line at www.neopoint.com. NeoPoint 1000 users may also purchase the SoftSync Station at select Sprint PCS retail stores in the U.S., and in Canada at Bell World stores in Ontario, Espace Bell stores in Quebec and participating retailers of Bell Mobility products in both provinces.

The sleek, all-in-one NeoPoint 1000, which offers all the benefits of a wireless phone, plus the added convenience of a built-in PDA, wireless Internet and e-mail access, is also available for purchase on-line at www.neopoint.com. Included with the purchase of the NeoPoint 1000 is the SoftSync Cable and SoftSync Plus™ software needed to synchronize PIM data between the smartphone and a PC.
