All drugs used to be legal. Teddy Roosevelt was one of the main culprits that instigated laws against drugs. At one point he even tried to make Coca-Cola illegal and Coca-Cola drivers had to carry a passenger who rode shotgun (literally) to break through federal barricades and roadblock. Coca-Cola was actually at war with the federal government. In that case, the government backed down (Justice wasn't headed by Janet Reno in those days -- hahahaha). All drugs should be legal (as they once were) and regulated.
