Rambus was our friend:

This is a change from Intel tying the P4 to Rambus memory, Cowen noted. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD: news, msgs) is losing 3 3/4 to 75. Cowen feels Intel's move "moderates AMD's competitive advantage." Intel is shedding 3 1/4 to 137 5/8.

The funny this is that never once did any analyst paint a positive picture for AMD due to its "competitive advantage" when Intel was only supporting RDRAM on the P4. But, now that Intel is once again taking AMD's lead, the biased bast*rd analysts are quick to frame it as a negative for AMD. So, when Intel uses RDRAM, it's good for Intel and bad for AMD, and when Intel doesn't use RDRAM it's good for Intel and bad for AMD. I think the next analyst I meet on the street is going to get a good slap on the face.
