William R. Spivey
William Spivey is group president, Network Products Group for Lucent Technologies, responsible for leading Lucent's efforts in the manufacturing, development, product marketing and management for cable and power systems businesses. His group designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of products and provides integrated solutions for various communication and computing applications.
Previously, Mr. Spivey was vice president, Systems and Components for Lucent Technologies' Microelectronics Group.
Prior to joining Lucent Technologies, Mr. Spivey was president of Tektronix Development Company for Tektronix, Inc. based in Oregon. He has also held senior management positions with AT&T, Honeywell, Inc. and General Electric in various systems control, computer and semiconductor units.
Mr. Spivey is a member of the board of directors of Novellus Systems, Inc. and Raytheon Company.
He is also a members of the Executive Leadership Council and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Computer and Business Equipment Manufacturers Association. He is an author of two books, Succeeding In Corporate America (Vantage Press, 1991) and Corporate America In Black and White (Carlton Press, 1993). He has a bachelor's and master's degrees in Physics and a Ph.D. in Administration Management.
He is married with two children and resides in Georgia. |
