Do you know Truth or Consequences, New Mexico? We've been there. I mean, not as a destination ~ but as a motel stop. And it really was named after the TV show. Yah. I didn't think it was. But it was.

Before that, it didn't have a name, and people had to leave it blank.

But it is such an Appropriate name, for southern New Mexico; down there where there isn't a lot of stuff. Hardly any. Except sunlight. Only this is sunheavy. Like lead. Sun lead.

It's the least stuffy part of America, maybe. "We're not stuffy."

The towns have names like Last Water, Dead Horse, Radiator (!), [I just made that one up, and I REALLY like it ~ Radiator. Radiator, Arizona], Burnt Back, Dry Wells, etc.

And Truth or Consequences fits right in there. It does, man. Like if you lied and told that nag the radiator was full.
