Windsock, Mani and thwead,

I disagree that censorship is bad, in fact it is necassary.

My major problem was not that Paul was kicked off, but the way in which he was kicked off.

Some thoughts:

1. There should be a clear and pre-arranged "kick-off" mechanism.

ie 4 warnings and 2 weeks.

And perhaps 1 month next level and then for life.

I am not bothered so much as to what the terms are.
I do object that such terms were not discussed and revealed after the fact.

2. Voting in private.

I am certain Mani is an honorable guy.

However folks should vote and for the record.
No wimping behind closed votes.
And there should be a defined voting period - say 1 week.
What happened in Pauls case was a post for a day or so and then he was booted.

If rules are clear, and enforced in an open environment then we will likely not face this issue very much if at all.

Just my .02,

regards,

Kash
