Hello Bill. I hope you did not watch the market this morning. Unfortunately I did here and there. Ouch. But things have turned around a bit on the NAZ.

I remember you asking me what stocks I own. Which 4 stocks do you own? I thought you were only in QCOM. It did pretty well lately.

Yes. I can see how you feel the way you do about the markets. I am beginning to feel the same way. It is beginning to be a crap shoot. I guess it always was but it seems more that way now. Some of those analysts are getting a bit daring. Strong buy one day and the next day the stock is cut in half. And yes, luckily we all can do our own research but as you stated, even that is no guarantee in a market where so many now just go from day to day. Even the funds are getting worse. Very few long term holders.

But I am hanging in there. I just buy and sell something here and there and try to hold the rest for the long term. I am calling long term now 1 year when the tax bite is less. But I am learning that when things go up a lot, I will take some profits. Better SOME profits than NONE.

I just told Sonki that I sold my JDSU with a heavy heart. But with someone selling a big chunk of their holdings, earnings and JDSU going into the S&P, I got cold feet. Too many of my stocks took a bath when earnings came out, even when earnings were good. And JDSU has come back a long way since April. Again. I will not exit the market but I will def. take some profits in the future. Everybody else seems to be taking it.

I did some bottom fishing in FDRY and VSTR. It did not work too well. I also bought some more Intel at 138. Man, those analysts are having a field day with the semis. One day they in, the next they are out.

Oh. about my mini vacation. None of your guesses were right. I went to Ocean City, Md. We generally go there every year for about a week or so. We went to the Outer Banks in June and Fla over Easter.

If this market does not start moving up, I may be stranded at home. gg.

Oil. It does not look like the promised output of a lot more oil came about. Oil is still about 28 dollars a barrel. Something should be done about it. More drilling in our area could help. I know it's not political correct. It always strikes me funny when those against drilling see nothing wrong when other countries drill. And of course there are other things that can be done.

Sonny
