Staff You seem to be saying that your mentor advised you to take the contrarian view. This is usually an excellent advice. No experienced market player would argue with that. However, you need to define whom are you being cotrarian to ! The idea is that you should go against the MASSES because they are ususally wrong. You are forgetting that we , the readers of this thread, are not the masses that you should be contrary to. In fact the majority of this thread are bulls, and they themselves are contrarians to the REAL masses who are bears or outright shorts. Look at the 3 MM shorts. You are correct in your premise in being a contrarian. But you are wrong in the execution of a very sound theory.
