HO HO, you're really in the belly of the beast! My location for the Center of the Clown Universe has to be the Stanford U. Campus. Both Sun and Sicko basically started their, a bunch of buildings are named after Packard, etc, etc. If you can maintain your sanity there, you can maintain it ANYWHERE (apologies to NY, NY!)

BTW, the intern/stock option story got some press run today:
