Once again you have amazed me.

It was actually at a customer suggestion that we decided to split the two.

Are you publicly stating that you actually take and implement customer suggestions? Is this something new? I think its a first.

And are you also stating that the you only implement asinine customer suggestions?

Who is this "customer?" Do we know him/her?

I'd like to know what kind of knucklehead would make such a suggestion.

In fact, we're going to be adding "Hot Subject" lists for several other categories as well.

Now you're telling me it gets worse.

I guess that's kind of a long way of saying that we are not planning to add Coffee Shop subjects back to the Hot Subjects page - at least as it currently exists

You have taken a premier site and turned it upside down in the name of change. I'm very disappointed in the direction you are taking us. Instead of inclusion you are talking about exclusion. A bad precedent..
